GRANTS & DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Are you looking for a flexible part-time position (remote- home office based) and the opportunity to use your development, fundraising and grant writing skills in an ongoing highly impactful way? Development and Grants Manager opportunity supporting one of the locations of a wonderful multi-location non-profit – a 25+ year old San Francisco Bay area community based health-care organization that provides free primary, quality healthcare services to uninsured families and individuals with limited ability to pay for medical care. The clinic literally saves lives! They are volunteer driven and supported solely through local based philanthropy, grants and fund-raising efforts.

Reporting to the Regional Development Director and working closely with the local clinic advisory council, the Grants and Development Manager role is a flexible 25 hour a week position with overall responsibility for:
• Driving the grant and proposal development process, for renewal grants (70%) and new grants (30%).
• Planning and executing several special events with complete support of the local development advisory committee and volunteers,
• Creating greater community awareness through various public relation activities,(visits to local clinic, speaking engagements for the advisory council members etc.)
• Strategizing and maintaining/developing relevant partnerships/sponsorships and donation campaigns.

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• Minimum of 2 plus years of direct related development/fundraising experience required. A plus would be knowledge of specific funding and experience with access to health for vulnerable populations.
• Non-profit comprehensive and superior grant writing experience and a successful track record in proposal writing is required. Demonstrated capacity to deliver high quality, winning proposals to secure funding.
• Relevant experience forming partnerships with other similar organizations to pursue funding, including partnering as a sub-grantee.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Leadership and strong organization ability. Collaborate effectively with teams composed of diverse stakeholders, volunteers, professionals and the local development advisory committee.
• Possess excellent positive verbal/written communication and customer service skills.
• Requires an independent self-starter who can form connections & partnerships and drive a new project from start to finish.
• Fluency in a second language is a plus.
