The Software Program Manager, IoT and Cloud will be responsible for partnering with various software and device engineering teams to help deliver cloud-connected IoT devices with advance AI for Smart Homes. As the producer with the team this individual will help define and deliver cross-functional features across multiple products, and help achieve the overall company goals. Will work closely with management, directly with engineers, with product owners, and others around the company.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Drive solutions from the software, where it touches OS, above OS and integration in the cloud delivering an end-to-end fully integrated platform
• Support standups, manage sprint planning, run retrospectives, and communicate status to the company
• Manage and adjust development process such as Jira workflows to support changing project needs
• Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously through servant leadership, including cross-team projects, often using varied project management techniques
• Constantly monitor progress and communicate project status to all stakeholders via a number of methods (e.g. dashboards, metrics, burn-up charts, presentations, team meetings, emails etc)
• Use your depth in IoT technologies to drive investments in delivering a seamless and highly integrated and smart IoT platform
• Proactively manage schedule and scope changes, identify potential risks, forecast completion dates, and create contingency plans
• Oversee project planning and tracking, including working with team leads to define project scope and goals, identifying resources, and creating and managing project schedules
• Effectively communicate with cross functional teams (Dev, QA, Ops) through the complete product development cycle
• Be proficient on SDLC/release lifecycle processes and champion process best practices, metrics and high quality standards with your delivery team
• Communicate timely changes to the plan to ensure that all key stakeholders are aware and any downstream implications are known

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent prior work experience and training required
• 3+ years’ experience as software project manager required
• Essential to have experience with backend platform and/or cloud technology development
• Require experience managing sprints and team roadmaps using task tracking applications
• Require Ability to coordinate requirements gathering meetings for features and roadmaps
• Prefer product development experience (including Linux, C/C++, Java, messaging protocols, and Web Services)
• Require experience building processes, project management, and release schedules
• Require experience and best-practice knowledge of JIRA and Confluence or similar project management tools (e.g. Rally, targetprocess, SharePoint etc.)
• Require experience with Microsoft Project for waterfall based project management
• Prefer experience with teams creating services/APIs in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
• Prefer experience with analytics, reporting KPIs
• Essential to have experience working with distributed software teams
• Require experience working with teams using with various Agile practices (XP, Kanban, Scrum); Prior experience as Scrum Master preferable
• Essential to have strong technical acumen. Ability to quickly understand the technical context of the development programs you drive and to actively contribute to technical engineering discussions that might impact the success of these programs
