Sales Development & Account Management Rep (Inside Sales)

The world is running out of water. Water rates in 30 major cities are up over 40% since 2010. Some are calling water the new gold. Our client was founded by technology veterans who wanted to help organizations manage and conserve water. Internet of Things solutions range from smart irrigation products that determine the minimum amount of water needed for landscape to thrive to detection and monitoring products that immediately alert users if a leak or break has occurred, and are used by 9 of the 10 largest high-tech organizations, 7 of the 10 largest real estate companies, 4 of the 5 largest big box retailers, and over 200 municipalities and school districts.


This is a full time, onsite position in Petaluma, CA. The Sales Development and Account Manager Representative is an inside sales position reporting to the Director of Inside Sales. The primary role of the position is to conduct phone and email outreach, developing new pipeline opportunities and account management support working in tandem with the outside sales and business development teams.

This requires a high volume of daily calls and emails. You will call marketing driven leads as well as have named accounts that you will strategize, working with Regional Account Executives through the Quote stage. You will also help to develop add-on business for those named accounts. (Territory will be defined by state, with a mixture of Mid-west and East coast as well as National accounts that have headquarters in the Mid-west or East Coast.)

What You'll Be Doing:

Conduct daily calls to targets, prospects, customers
Follow up with Marketing Qualified Leads
Qualify and validate prospect interest in solutions
Manage follow up data from calls and strategic account plans
Maintain prospect and customer relationships until sales ready
Coordinate and schedule meetings for outside sales
Sales CRM account data management (Salesforce)

What We're Looking For:

B.A. degree
3+ years of experience in B2B inside sales or account management
Excellent web and phone skills
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Salesforce or related CRM Experience
Excellent communication skills
Energetic and self-starting
Well organized, an excellent problem solver, motivated and able to work semi-autonomously

Compensation range - $45K-$55K(base), depending on experience, plus bonus potential
